Wuhan Yangtze River Crossing Project (1997): The first application of reinforced concrete chimney tower type, with a tower height of 136 meters. The Nanjing River Crossing Project adopts a steel pipe tower structure
Nanjing Dashengguan Project (2012): Adopting steel pipe tower structure
This technological development reflects the comprehensive progress of China's power engineering in the fields of structural mechanics, materials science, and construction technology, providing key technical support for the construction of ultra-high voltage transmission networks. The current design of self-supporting towers has been included in the technical standard system of GB 50545-2010 "Code for Design of 110kV~750kV Overhead Transmission Lines".
